Fabulous Value!
I was delighted with the Vicarage. The location is superb - in the heart of a lovely, quiet neighbourhood, within easy walking to major tube lines, Kensington Palace gardens, and fascinating shopping. The staff are wonderful; they went out of their way to accommodate my needs. (I came and went in patches in order to facilitate my daughter's wedding.) The hotel is clean, utterly charming, and friendly. The breakfast dining room includes a large table where we single travellers could meet and share the meal. I often chose to spend a few extra hours enjoying the quiet at the Vicarage rather than push to see and do everything possible in London. Tremendous value for the money!
Very best,
Maggie

I spent 10 days at the Vicarage Hotel in February of 2007. It was my third stay at the hotel and as with my previous stays found it good value for money and have made a reservation for my next trip to London. I stayed in a Standard single room on the third floor. The roon costs 40 pounds a night, winter rate, about $80 a night at the current exchange rates. About the same time I made my booking for this trip I checked hotel prices on BA.com. The site lists a wide range of available hotels in London. It's a little bit of apples and oranges as all the BA.com hotels have bathrooms in the room. On the other hand almost all the BA.com hotels offer continental breakfast only. The lowest priced hotel at the time wasw $87 a night somewhere in the Dochlands. The next lowest was over $100 a night.

Best place in town!
I just returned from my second stay at the Vicarage since February more convinced than ever that Mandy and Francisca run the best place in town! During my three week visit I was never disappointed by the friendly family atmosphere, the attention to detail, the location, and the value that the Vicarage provides. As a frequent visitor to London I cannot think of a better way to spend you travel dollars than to stay with them!

"This is the second year running that I have stayed at the Vicarage Hotel. And in fact it was in the same room both times, room 19. It's worth the climb up all those flights of stairs for the view over Kensington and Notting Hill. Both times that I've stayed at the Vicarage Hotel have been because of my part in the running of an annual conference at Imperial College, where I am currently finishing off an MPhil. I live in Oxford, so cannot finish late and come in early, and most weeks am only in for two or three days. I have been impressed by the room standards (clean and tidy) and the courtesy of service, and shall come back if I need to stay locally in future".
